Total Time: 55-65 minutes
Yield: 9 large squares or 16 small squares
Ingredients:
- 8 x 8 in Baking Dish
- 1/2 cup Original Peanut Butter Meltaway® Spread
- 1 cup Chocolate Chips (Try our Blossoms!)
- 1/2 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
- 1 tablespoon Vanilla Extract
- 1 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1 cup Brown Sugar - Firmly Packed
- 1 1/4 cup All Purpose Flour
- 1 cup Unsalted Butter
- 3 large Eggs
- 1 teaspoon Salt
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Spray an 8 x 8 inch square baking pan with baking spray and line with parchment paper.
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and then whisk in 1/2 cup of chocolate chips or Gardners Blossoms until fully melted. Transfer to a large bowl and let cool for a few minutes.
- Sift together the flour and cocoa powder in another large bowl and then whisk in the salt.
- Into the melted chocolate, whisk in the sugars, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
- Fold in the flour mixture until well combined. Fold the remaining 1/2 cup chocolate chips or Blossoms before transferring the mixture to a lined 8 x 8 inch square baking pan.
- Drop Gardners Original Peanut Butter Meltaway® Spread over the top of the batter in dollops. Warm spread slightly for a thinner consistency.
- Use the tip of a knife to swirl the peanut butter into the chocolate batter. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until the center doesn’t wobble, then let cool in the pan before slicing.
