Original Peanut Butter Brownies


Original Peanut Butter Brownies


Prep Time: 15-20 minutes
Cook Time: 40-45 minutes
Total Time: 55-65 minutes
Yield: 9 large squares or 16 small squares

Ingredients:

  • 8 x 8 in Baking Dish
  • 1/2 cup Original Peanut Butter Meltaway® Spread
  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips (Try our Blossoms!)
  • 1/2 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 1 tablespoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar - Firmly Packed
  • 1 1/4 cup All Purpose Flour
  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter
  • 3 large Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Salt

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Spray an 8 x 8 inch square baking pan with baking spray and line with parchment paper.
  2. In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and then whisk in 1/2 cup of chocolate chips or Gardners Blossoms until fully melted. Transfer to a large bowl and let cool for a few minutes.
  3. Sift together the flour and cocoa powder in another large bowl and then whisk in the salt.
  4. Into the melted chocolate, whisk in the sugars, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
  5. Fold in the flour mixture until well combined. Fold the remaining 1/2 cup chocolate chips or Blossoms before transferring the mixture to a lined 8 x 8 inch square baking pan.
  6. Drop Gardners Original Peanut Butter Meltaway® Spread over the top of the batter in dollops. Warm spread slightly for a thinner consistency.
  7. Use the tip of a knife to swirl the peanut butter into the chocolate batter. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until the center doesn’t wobble, then let cool in the pan before slicing.
