We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable mechanic with expertise in repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting various mechanical equipment and machine operations. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in welding, lathe operation, and plumbing, and possess some electrical knowledge. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and equipment in our organization.
- Responsibilities:
- • Conduct regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs of mechanical equipment and machines to ensure optimal functionality and minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and identify the root causes of equipment malfunctions.
• Perform welding tasks to repair or fabricate metal components and structures as needed.
• Operate lathes and other machining tools to manufacture or modify mechanical parts.
• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems related to equipment and machinery operations.
• Assist with electrical repairs and troubleshooting, working in collaboration with the electrical team.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and parts inventory.
• Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.
• Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and best practices related to mechanical equipment and machine operations.
- Skills and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in mechanical engineering or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience as a mechanic, with a focus on mechanical equipment and machine operations.
• Strong knowledge of welding techniques and the ability to perform welding repairs and fabrication tasks.
• Proficiency in operating lathes and other machining tools for part manufacturing and modification.
• Solid understanding of plumbing systems and the ability to install, repair, and maintain them in relation to equipment and machinery operations.
• Basic electrical knowledge and the ability to assist with electrical repairs and troubleshooting.
• Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills to identify and resolve mechanical issues.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for maintaining accurate maintenance records.
• Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual tasks and work in various settings (e.g., confined spaces, elevated platforms).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and effectively communicate technical information.
